OK, I am not a gardener. In fact I don’t think I’ve ever done any gardening. But we had a section of our home that was a weed filled mess. Just awful! So I grabbed a shovel and dug in. I also talk about some new films I received on Blu-ray and DVD. It is all so old stuff. No Superheroes or Game of Thrones.
As I document the making of my next short film, I begin with trying to creating a new lighting system that will not cost all that much monuy. Hey, we have no money to spend! WAtch my video and let me know what you think.
On the weeks show, I ramble on and on and on. One of the biggest red flags about people who want to have a political discussion is when name calling is used. Calling people “sheep” is one of those names I don’t tolerate. Also, I love the Ron Howard film, Apollo 13 and I just got the deluxe BLU-RAY. All this and more!
Looking for something worth talking about int he area, I traveled to Waukegan, IL and I found a few Jack Benny historical sights, like a statue and a house he lived in. I also talk about the corner of route 20 and Milwaukee ave. Do we really need another shopping mall? And I take a walk into the woods. All this and more.
Can a film the grossed 230 million dollars be considered a box office failure? That is the case with the new Ghostbusters!
One of my all time, favorite films, one that I watch every time it is on TCM, is 1934’s The Thin Man, the story of Nick and Nora Charles. Starring William Powell and Myrna Loy, written by Albert Hackett and Frances Goodrich, based on a novel by Dashiell Hammett and directed by W. S. Van Dyke. I love this film. It is perfect! And speaking of Turner Classic Movies . . .
Goodbye Robert Osborne! The world is a little less special without you.

Next, as a filmmaker, I offer advice to other filmmakers who might be making a bad film. The thing is, your probably not going to save you film but you may be able to make it more entertaining. I’ve got some ideas on just how to do that.
And finally I talk about another one of my favorite films, Věra Chytilová’s Daisies from 1966. I love this film for so many reason!

What is right, what is wrong? Do we all break the law? How serious is copyright infringement to you? Did I tell you I am a Beatle fan and this week I tell you know of those amazing facts about the Fab Four that you may not realize. And what about the insane Dominoes Pizza commercial where they admit to ripping off their customers for years. And they pat themselves on the back for doing what they should always have been doing? It is a crazy world.
